Residents, staff and visitors at Edward Street Quarter enjoyed a festive treat in the run up to Christmas, with an independent pop up market, offering everything from street food, baked goods and fresh juices to art.
Organised by place management specialist, Populate, a new company owned by impactful developer, Socius, and run in partnership with Ace Events, the first-ever Edward Street Quarter Christmas market welcomed around 500 visitors.
Independent traders included Berkson Bakes, Khalid’s Kitchen, Juice House and Family Kitchen, with Edward Street Quarter residents and office workers receiving a 20% discount on hot food.
Commenting on the success of the first independent market at Edward Street Quarter, Joss Taylor, Head of Activation and Enlivenment at Populate, says: "It was great to see the public realm at Edward Street Quarter come to life this Christmas, and we look forward to being able to create similar style events in the new year and throughout 2025.
“Thank you to Ace Events for supporting us with the market, to the traders who joined us on a windy winter's day and to everyone who came along and supported our local pop up event. We look forward to seeing you all again at the next one."
