Award-winning interior designers appointed to dress Edward Street Quarter show home
We have appointed award-winning interior design practice, Honky, to dress the first of our new homes available for outright purchase.
Based on Edward Street in the heart of Brighton, the development offers one, two and three-bedroom apartments - many with outside space and all with access to an impressive panoramic roof terrace.
Honky’s talented team of seven designers and two stylists is renowned for its sustainable and timeless interiors as well as a distinguished visual storytelling ability.
At Edward Street Quarter, the design tells the tale of a kitsch English seaside, incorporating the work of several Brighton-based artists including Pheobe Boddy, Marcelina Amelia, Polly Arnett and Faye Bridgewater (artwork pictured).
A bright and playful palette brings back memories of childhood, incorporating pops of turquoise taken from Brighton’s classic iron paintwork as well as pastels from the rows of coloured houses in nearby Hanover.
A raspberry pink entrance hall, inspired by the famous beach huts, wraps around into a dining area echoing the shoreline - complemented with curved ‘Vitra’ dining chairs.
The open plan living space features stylish astrological-themed seating, in keeping with local artist Cosmo Sarson’s Neptune mural set to appear on an exterior wall of the development – a nod to the area’s fishing heritage.
The master bedroom flaunts a sumptuous, patterned headboard which runs the entire length of the wall. Meanwhile, quirky bedside tables and handmade accessories are inspired by a 1950’s-style Vogue beach shoot.
A guest bedroom doubles as a workspace, ideal for the new hybrid working world, with stripes and a subtle blue and yellow colour palette reflecting the traditional English deck chair.
